I'm picking up where I left off back in 1974.
Back then I made a choice between becoming a full time artist or starting a business.
Art Media art supply stores were born and although the artist rested, he never left.
Now that I'm retired, I'm going to give the artist in me
a second chance.
"Artist" is a label I can live with.
Let's see how it fits..

I See Art Everywhere!
I've been an artist all my life.
Until three years ago most productive years were in college and the immediate years after.
I've produced art off and on over the years, mostly painting.
I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Fine Art. In college I started in printmaking, but eventually painting was the process that allowed me to express visually what I felt inside.
My favorite artists are MC Escher and Morris Louis. Morris Louis inspired me to get rid of brushes, staple my canvases to the floor and let the paint flow.
Over the years I have experimented with other styles, but now I am ready to re-explore where I left off in 1974.
